next to 意為“緊靠著；緊挨著；貼近”
e.g. The little boy is next to his mother.

【辨析】next to與near的區(qū)別
從空間講near 只表示“在……附近”；而next to有“緊挨著”之意；next to比near靠的更近。

across from 意為“在……對(duì)面”
e.g. The bank is across from our school.

5. between 介詞，表示“在……中間”， 常與and 連接， 構(gòu)成短語(yǔ)，指在兩者之間。
