作名詞，意為“父親或母親”，為單數(shù)形式，parent＝father or mother，復(fù)數(shù)形式parents＝father and mother，指的是父母兩人。

這是一個用來介紹他人的常用句型。英語中的介紹分為兩種：
(1)自我介紹。在介紹前可用適當(dāng)?shù)拇蛘泻粲谜Z或問候語，如Hello！或Hi！此時常用My name is…或I'm…句型。
(2)介紹他人。介紹在場的第三人時，常用句型為This is… That is…或That's…一般不用He is…或She is…。
3．Who's she？她是誰？
這是由who引導(dǎo)的特殊疑問句，用來詢問某人是誰。

(1)these是指示代詞，意為“這些”，它是this的復(fù)數(shù)形式。在英語中，指示代詞共有四個：this，these，that，those，這些指示代詞的意思和用法與漢語里的“這個”“這些”“那個”“那些”相近。this的復(fù)數(shù)是these，用來指距說話人距離近或時間上近的人或事物；而that的復(fù)數(shù)形式是those，是指在空間或時間上較遠(yuǎn)的人或事物。this，that與單數(shù)名詞連用，these，those與復(fù)數(shù)名詞連用。
(2)brothers是brother的復(fù)數(shù)形式。
