構(gòu)詞法就是利用詞形變化的規(guī)律來構(gòu)成詞匯的方法。英語構(gòu)詞法主要有三種：合成、派生和轉(zhuǎn)化。本單元我們先了解一下合成法。
合成法
把兩個(gè)或兩個(gè)以上的詞合在一起而構(gòu)成一個(gè)新詞，這種構(gòu)詞法稱為合成法。新詞的詞義往往是在合成它的詞的詞義上產(chǎn)生。
(1)合成名詞
black＋board→blackboard黑板(形容詞＋名詞)
day＋break→daybreak 黎明(名詞＋名詞)
hand＋writing→handwriting 書法(名詞＋動(dòng)名詞)
type＋writer→typewriter 打字機(jī)(動(dòng)詞＋名詞)
after＋noon →afternoon 下午(介詞＋名詞)
(2)合成形容詞
every＋day→everyday日常的(形容詞＋名詞)
snow＋white→snowwhite 雪白的(名詞＋形容詞)
English＋speaking→Englishspeaking 講英語的(名詞＋現(xiàn)在分詞)
one＋way→oneway 單行的(數(shù)詞＋名詞)
face＋to＋face→facetoface 面對(duì)面的(名詞＋介詞＋名詞)

(3)合成副詞
up＋stairs→upstairs在樓上(副詞＋名詞)

(4)合成代詞
①反身代詞： myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourselves, themselves
②不定代詞： somebody, anybody, nobody, everybody, someone, anyone, everyone, something, anything, nothing, everything
