[觀察] I'm complaining about you to the robot shop.
我在向機器人商店投訴你。
[探究] complain 用作不及物動詞，意為“抱怨；埋怨；投訴；發(fā)牢騷”。complain about sth 意為“抱怨某事”；complain to sb 意為“向某人抱怨”；complain about sth to sb 意為“向某人抱怨某事”。complain 后面也可接賓語從句。
Almost immediately he began to complain about the weather.
他幾乎馬上就開始抱怨天氣了。
They complained about the terrible food to the boss.
他們向老板抱怨這糟糕的食物。
[拓展] complain的名詞形式為complaint，意為“抱怨；埋怨；投訴；控告”。

[觀察] So they could do whatever they're asked to.

[探究] whatever 作代詞，意為“任何，一切事物”，既可以引導(dǎo)主語從句，也可以引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句。引導(dǎo)主語從句時，謂語動詞要用單數(shù)形式；引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句時，相當于no matter what。
