careful /'keəfl/adj.小心的；仔細(xì)的
eg：John was careful not to say anything about this to her.
約翰小心翼翼，沒有向她提及任何有關(guān)此事的事。
careful是名詞care的形容詞形式，常用于be careful結(jié)構(gòu)中。當(dāng)be careful單獨(dú)使用時(shí)，意為“小心”，相當(dāng)于look out或take care。
eg：Be careful! There's a car coming here.
小心！有一輛小汽車開過來了。
careful常和介詞of，about，with搭配使用，意為“當(dāng)心；留意；仔細(xì)”。
eg：You must be careful of/about your pronunciation.
你必須注意你的發(fā)音。
