1. “What are you doing here?” the giant cried in a loud voice. “你們?cè)谶@兒干什么？”巨人大喊到。
辨析：loud, aloud/loudly
loud常用作形容詞，意為“大聲的”，in a loud voice大聲的。也可作副詞，意為“響亮地”，側(cè)重音量大，傳得遠(yuǎn)。
They are talking too loud. 他們說(shuō)話(huà)的聲音太大了。
aloud副詞，強(qiáng)調(diào)發(fā)出的聲音能被聽(tīng)見(jiàn)，而不是默默地說(shuō)，常與read，call等連用。
Read the lesson aloud.大聲讀這一課。
loudly副詞，可用于修飾人聲、敲門(mén)聲等，強(qiáng)調(diào)喧鬧、不悅耳。
Suddenly the bell rang loudly. 突然，鈴聲高響。
2. When spring came, flowers blossomed and the birds began to sing across the land. 春天到了，花開(kāi)了，鳥(niǎo)鳴叫著飛過(guò)大地。
across此處意為“越過(guò)”，表示經(jīng)過(guò)某一地方或區(qū)域。across也可表示“橫過(guò)”，或“在對(duì)面”。
A boy walked across the square, singing happily. 一個(gè)女孩快東地唱著走過(guò)廣場(chǎng)。(越過(guò))
Be careful when you go across the street. 過(guò)大街時(shí)小心。(橫過(guò))
Across the river, there is a small island.河對(duì)面，有一個(gè)小島。(在對(duì)面)
3. He thought it must be the king’s musicians passing by. 他認(rèn)為可能是國(guó)王的樂(lè)師經(jīng)過(guò)。
1) must此處表示猜測(cè)，意為“一定”，must表示猜測(cè)時(shí)，只能用于肯定句。
That man must be a teacher.那個(gè)人一定是一位老現(xiàn)。
2) pass by意為“經(jīng)過(guò)，路過(guò)”，相當(dāng)于go by， go past。
I passed by your house last night at about 10. 昨晚十點(diǎn)我經(jīng)過(guò)你家。
